Mark's obsession with Holden cars started from an early age. Mark has fond memories of watching the family's caravan hooked to the back of his Dad's HG Holden as they headed away on holiday.
He remembers looking out the back window at the nose of the caravan just centimeters
away as they travelled along the coast.
Those early years were a foundation for what is now a real passion and love for Holden. As a founding member of the Early Holden Club, Grey has owned eight Holdens over the years, with an award winning 1953 FX Holden Ute as part of his collection.
By the mid-1950s, Holden was well and truly established as a market leader but the FJ design was starting to look dated. Along came the FE which sported a larger, roomier body with a longer wheelbase and wider track. A lower roofline and flatter bonnet and boot complemented the new look and a range of new exterior colour schemes were introduced.
