Safety is designed into all Barina models with the use of high-strength steel in the passenger safety cell and crumple zones. The high seating position provides a better view of the road while clever ergonomics put the driver in command with fingertip control of everything from the power mirrors to the stereo system. On winding roads or city lanes, the Barina is highly responsive and well balanced with an exceptional array of safety features.

Safer braking
An Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) is standard on all Barina models. It can help maintain directional stability and control under emergency braking - particularly on slippery roads.

Dual front airbags and side impact airbags
Dual front airbags deploy to protect the driver and front passenger in certain serious frontal collisions while the optimised front crumple zone acts as a first line of defence.
Side impact airbags work as the name suggests, to protect both the driver and passenger in the event of a side on collision.

Stay seated
Height adjustable front seatbelts with pre-tensioners automatically tack up seatbelt slack early, minimising forward motion of passengers in an impact. |
