Features:
S: Standard Feature

Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)
Anti Lock Brakes maximize the Captiva's braking ability without letting it skid.
Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD)
This system works in combination with ABS to prevent excessive braking and thus locking of rear wheels by transferring braking pressure between the front and rear axles.
Traction Control System (TCS)
When sensors detect imminent wheel spin, engine torque is reduced. If one wheel is about to spin, braking is applied to transfer torque to the wheel with better traction.
Electronic Stability Control (ESC)
Electronic Stability Control (ESC) helps to control understeer and oversteer, maintain grip and safely stabilise the car.
Descent Control System (DCS)
Descent Control System (DCS) regulates downhill speed and allows a smooth, controlled hill descent without the driver needing to touch the brake pedal. When this feature is switched on, the system automatically applies the brakes and limits the speed of the vehicle.
Brake Assist (BA)
Provides additional braking assistance by allowing the driver to reach the ABS threshold sooner.
Active Rollover Protection (ARP)
Reduces the risk of rollover when lane changing and cornering.
Four-link Independent Rear Suspension (IRS)
Four-link Independent Rear Suspension helps keep Captiva stable on the road at all times. This is particularly useful in challenging cornering situations.
Level Ride Suspension
Self contained load-sensitive rear shock absorbers that automatically adjust to load and road conditions.
Driver and Front Passenger Airbags
Driver and front airbags will only inflate if car is involved in certain severe frontal collisions. Airbags form part of the Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) as they assist, but do not replace, safety offered by seatbelts.
Curtain Airbags
Curtain Airbags help protect front and second row occupants in the event of a side impact.
